Computer grphics is a branch of computer science that deals with the theory and methods of computer image synthesis. Computers produce images by analyzing the collection points, or pixels (picture elements). Computer graphics is used to improve the flow of information and understanding in science, engineering, medicine, education and business by promoting the generation, production and display of synthetic images of natural objects with realism is almost indistinguishable from photographs. Computer graphics facilitates the process of acquiring images, which range in complexity from simple drawings to three-dimensional reconstruction of the data obtained from computerized axial tomography (CAT) scans for medical purposes. Animation is widely used in entertainment, education, industry, flight simulators, research, and Heads-Up Displays (devices that allow users to interact with the virtual world).
