Although examples of mechanical computers existed throughout most of human history recorded, the first electronic computers were developed in the mid 20 th century (1940-1945). The ability to store and execute lists of instructions called programs makes computers extremely versatile, which distinguish them from calculators. Church-Turing thesis is a mathematical formulation of this versatility: any computer with certain minimum possible, in principle, able to perform the same tasks that any other computer can perform. Therefore, computers, ranging from mobile phones to supercomputers every opportunity to perform the same computing tasks, given enough time and memory.
