Secure Jobs
These days, it is very common for jobs in fields such as software, designing and accounting to be outsourced out of the United States to other countries. However, this is not true for all jobs. There is still a huge variety of jobs which, by their very nature, cannot be outsourced. These jobs possess one basic trait in common: These jobs are such that contact with people is very important, for instance, personal services or healthcare. Examples of such jobs are:
1. Doctors and doctors’ assistants. Patients still need to see doctors in person, and, while many Americans travel abroad for medical treatment, a good many do stay behind. Doctors will require assistant to perform routine clinical tasks for doctors too.
2. Education administrators. Teachers just need to complete a master’s degree to be eligible for this role, which involves setting school policies and monitoring day-to-operations.
3. Facilities managers. This role involves maintaining and staffing venues such as concert halls and auditoriums, which can only be done on-site
4. Dentists, dental hygienists and dental services. Technology will never advance to the point where teeth will be examined and cleaned remotely. It is not necessary to even be a dentist or to be in the dental field. A variety of roles are possible, including dealing in dental supplies.
5. Landscape artists. It is physically impossible to trim someone’s hedge from another country. It has been forecasted that demand for gardening work will increase tremendously in the field of grounds maintenance for golf courses. In the winter, landscapists can be equally productive as snow removers.
6. Computer network installers. Even though many computer jobs have been outsourced abroad, someone is still required to set up networks or Internet cables to hook up to the Internet, in order to take advantage of this outsourcing.
