Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping involves preparing and keeping track of financial records. They are required to possess working knowledge of finance and accounting principles and software, as well as keep abreast of the trends in financial markets and new laws and regulations. High school diplomas are usually sufficient for entry-level positions, but to advance up the career ladder, graduate and postgraduate degrees in finance and accounting are required. The exact job description varies however from industry to industry and from employer to employer. Computer programmers require the ability to work with multiple languages and platforms. They also need to pay sharp attention to detail, and the dedication and commitment to finish a job. Most positions require a bachelor’s degree but some employers may accept an associate’s degree. Continual education is a requirement to remain updated with the rapid changes in technology.
