Liberal Arts

The term liberal arts refers to the program, which gives general knowledge and develops the rational thinking of the student and intellectual capacities [indistinct], in contrast to professional, vocational and technical training programs emphasizing specialization. Modern Liberal Arts includes the study of art, literature, languages, philosophy, politics, history, mathematics and science. Students usually undertake a study in the liberal arts: to expand their intellectual and cultural horizons; obtain skills for employment, related to changes and innovation power, but as a way to further study. Course is particularly suitable for mature students who wish to return to research in the humanities and social sciences, and have not completed Year 12 or complete it some time ago and want to refresh their academic skills. Exit Year 12 students wishing to study in arts or social science courses, may also benefit.
