Project Management

Project management is a carefully planned and organized effort to accomplish a specific (and usually) one-time goal, for example, to construct a building or implementation of major new computer systems. Project management includes developing a project plan that includes identification and confirmation of project goals and objectives, identification of problems and what goals are achieved, the quantification of the necessary resources, and determining the budget and time frame for completion. It also includes managing the implementation of the project plan, along with operating on a regular basis' controls to ensure that there is an accurate and objective information about the "performance" in relation to the plan, as well as mechanisms for the implementation of recovery actions in case of need.
