  1. Systems Analyst. The BLS has predicted that this career is expected to show tremendous growth throughout this current decade. Systems analysts are involved in a variety of tasks ranging from network systems to data communications. To qualify for this position, a minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or information science is a prerequisite.

  2. Support Staff. Support staff is responsible for troubleshooting, and are paid high salaries because of the range of problems they are expected to diagnose and solve. An associate degree or simple technical training would suffice initially, but for career advancement, constant upgrade of skills is necessary

  3. Graphic Design. Graphic designers are involved in a variety of operations ranging from photography to marketing, printing and publications, and movie production. Most graphic designers are self-taught, but a bachelor’s degree in visual arts, graphic design or another related discipline is recommended.

  4. Computer Programming. Computers and hardware require software to run and code for this software needs to be written. This need allows computer programmers to earn an average annual salary of $72,010, according to the BLS. To qualify, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is sufficient for an entry-level job, but skills need to be continually updated to keep up with the fast-paced computer industry.
